With an AA score, the highest attainable, Heisterkamp Transport BV has obtained the BRC S&D certificate. This concerns the BRC standard for storage, transport, and related services for food. The BRC S&D certificate shows that Heisterkamp meets the standard to keep the products under the right conditions throughout the entire process.
The certificate has been obtained after an extensive inspection by an auditor of DNV GL (a certified organization that conducts worldwide inspections in the field of food safety).
Marco Oerlemans of the Legal, Safety and Quality department at Heisterkamp supervised the process on behalf of Heisterkamp. “The great result is a merit to the entire organization. Many departments within the organization are involved in the various procedures, such as HR, Planning, Fleet Management, and Sales. The auditor determined that all information and systems are in very good order. Various trucks and trailers were also subjected to a physical inspection and a number of drivers were interviewed.“
“Our drivers told us about the practice. Our working method must be correct in theory as well as in practice," Marco Oerlemans continues. “They have been complimented on their knowledge of food transport, hygiene, order and cleanliness. Drivers are intensively trained at Heisterkamp. Obtaining this certificate with an AA score shows that this has not been in vain."
