Operational Coordinator (m/f)
Your role
As an Operational Coordinator, you are the first point of contact for our customers. You manage the full process of trailer check-in and check-out, and you ensure that maintenance and repair work is planned efficiently. With your strong coordination skills, you guarantee that our trailers remain safe, reliable and ready for use at all times.
You work closely with customers, workshops and colleagues in Spain and the Netherlands, selecting the most suitable workshop or service partner from our extensive European network.
Your responsibilities
Fleet operations and availability
- Ensure the operational availability and technical condition of the semi-trailer fleet.
- Plan and control preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Manage vehicle scheduling, downtime and workshop capacity in line with operational requirements.
- Monitor fleet utilisation and technical performance indicators.
Maintenance management
- Define and implement preventive maintenance plans in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and legal requirements.
- Supervise external workshops and service providers.
- Control quality of repairs, technical standards and safety procedures.
- Analyse breakdown trends and implement continuous improvement actions.
Warranty and manufacturer claims
- Manage all warranty processes with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Prepare and submit warranty claims and follow up until resolution.
- Ensure correct documentation and compliance with warranty conditions.
- Act as main technical contact with OEMs and component suppliers.
Supplier and workshop management
- Select, evaluate and manage maintenance and repair suppliers.
- Negotiate service conditions, SLAs and pricing agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality and lead time.
Cost control and budgeting
- Control maintenance and repair budgets.
- Track cost per unit, cost per kilometre and other fleet KPIs.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising safety or quality.
Compliance and technical standards
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety and technical regulations related to semi-trailers.
- Manage inspections, certifications and mandatory technical checks.
- Maintain accurate technical and maintenance records for the fleet.
Operational coordination
- Work closely with commercial, operations and customer service teams to support customer requirements.
- Provide technical support for fleet incidents and operational issues.
- Participate in fleet renewal, specification definition and technical evaluations of new assets.
What you bring
Required profile
- Proven experience in fleet management, maintenance management or technical operations within the commercial vehicle, trailer, transport or rental/leasing sector.
- Technical knowledge of semi-trailers and their main components.
- Experience in warranty management.
- Solid understanding of maintenance planning, workshop operations and supplier management.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Fluent professional English (spoken and written).
